I was reading Loops farewell speech the other day. Anyone who is interested in the full speech you can find it Here

Loops might be remembered as being harsh sometimes and being surrounded with controversy, but one thing that strikes me is how many people Loops thanked. He even thanked many people who he mentioned he didn't get a long with or who disagreed with him. This respect was founded on the basis that people who disagree with you, always keep you sharp, and provide a different perspective. They challenge you to be better and when they may be wrong they validate your position and solidify your certainty.

The fact that Loops had so many people to thank, was a sign of a healthy zone. It was a sign that there was so many people on staff willing to help who were most importantly, given the opportunity to do it. What Loops states more than anything as his Legacy in DSB was leaving behind a Golden Development team that would see DSB through the years. Keep in mind this Golden Dev team was either fired (yes fired, forcefully removed) or resigned from staff because of Hoch. Shellback, Pravo, Ministry, Turboslug, Tango, the_snake, the list is endless, just because they never said "yes" all the time. Not to go overboard but to quote polix "Stagnation is the enemy" And instead of promoting and keeping the spirit of DSB alive - the DSB Development team - Hoch has all but axed that team himself.

ALL DSB Staff: Most of you I don’t know anymore, this I want to apologise for. I can remember the days when I knew everyone, everything they were doing and all the gossip they had to share. I’m sorry to those I haven’t gotten to know.

Loops not only left behind an amazing Development team but himself and DSB staff actually recruited that amazing Development team, which is not something that can be said about Hoch and DSB today. Beyond just recruiting people though, Loops took it one step further, and had a desire to be friends with the development team and tried to get to know everyone. But one of the most touching, and true signs of someone who really respects the community and its well being was the fact that he understood he didn't have time to get to know everyone anymore, and that he didn't have time for the zone and he stepped down and let someone else take over for the benefit of everyone.

One thing that really gets me, is Mozarts saying ' Chy was the heart of DSB ' DSB actually had a heart, and that is definitely something that is lacking now from Hoch and the rest of DSB Staff.

Well its pretty obvious if hoch went away, all his unjustified bans would go away at once and some players would be re-instated to staff.
And then we would have big get together online for everybody to share opinions

I am getting to the changes in DSB but to make such a list requires a basis for the list, and context. Which I am providing - with ample proof. And of course Beer Hunter being an Smod - his statements in this log, will provide certain support for my advice on what DSB desperately needs.

Some of the main Points Beer Hunter mentions. Such points are important to note from an smod who has been with DSB 11 years.

• Beer clearly states his opinion that there should be a committee of some kind. Either all being of equal power, and even if that's not the case at least a committee of staff that discusses things together should exist.

• Beer clearly says Hoch is too inactive for the zone

• Beer clearly states that more communication ie between staff and between players is required in DSB.
